Help Advice

Help Advice offers focused services for clients with a housing crisis.

The immediate concern for many of our clients is  'Where will I sleep tonight ?'

We can help to solve the immediate crisis by arranging suitable temporary accommodation, and then start looking for the best long-term housing options. We can make referrals to various housing schemes, or assist the client in making arrangements with reputable landlords. We maintain close links with both statutory and non-statutory partner agencies and have a proven track record of successfully helping clients with complex housing issues and related needs. We also maintain a close working relationship with Chorley Borough Council and can supplement their support.

Help Advice aims to help clients every step of the way until their housing crisis is resolved. We can help with benefits and debt advice, help to fill out housing application forms, and help to speed up the process of dealing with agencies.

This service is free to any client who wishes to actively seek help with changing and improving their situation. Our ethos is one of working in partnership with people to empower them to take more positive control of their lives.

Food and Household Items :

Help Advice is also the portal to the charity's donation services, supporting new tenants, when necessary, with the basic fundamentals of independent living.

Sometimes our clients find themselves unable to afford the essentials. We can help with an overnight parcel of canned foods, as well as blankets, toiletries, and sleeping bags.

Once re-housed, we can provide clients with household items to help them establish their new home: pots, pans, microwaves and small electricals.
